1930s Antique Art Deco Gown~Satin Brocade Turquoise Blue Vintage Dress 1940s Small

LOVELY HIGH FASHION, HAND MADE SATIN VINTAGE GOWN. A TRUE ANTIQUE! LATE c1930-EARLY 1940’s PERIOD....A BEAUTIFUL SHADE OF TURQUOISE BLUE COLOR, SLIGHTLY OFF SHOULDER NECKLINE. HORIZONTAL SEAMS 1/3 INTO THE SKIRT, & AND A NICE FULL SWEEP. A FLATTERING LOVELY SILHOUETTE WITH A GORGEOUS DRAPING, OVERSÎZED SKIRT & SWEEP. METAL ZIP ON THE LEFT SIDE. SEE BELOW FOR CONDITION AND MEASUREMENT NOTES.

CONDITION: FRESHLY HAND LAUNDERED AND STEAMED. WEARABLE ANTIQUE CONDITION.

NOTABLE ISSUES: Some seams show signs of stress. Just a touch of fading at the under arm areas. Some very-slight discoloration within the skirt (some of the inner folds have some vertical lines that are darker) they are really not noticeable unless you hold the skirt up to the light to inspect, and does not show when wearing due to the fullness of the skirt. I tried to capture in the last photo and have lightened the photo for details. A couple of “pics/dimples” within the fabric. REFER TO THE LAST PHOTO FOR UP CLOSE DETAILS OF THE NOTABLE ISSUES.

SIZE / MEASUREMENTS: Photographed on my 1/2 dress form, (The waistline was too small to get over the shoulders on my standard dress forms). Basically a pull over, The zipper is a left side zipper, approximately 9 inches long. NO SIZE INDICATED (THESE GOWNS WERE CUSTOM MADE IN THEIR TIME, HAND SEWN..)
